Warehouse Operative

To ensure deliveries are accurately booked in within a timely manner and materials are supplied to production in advance of schedules. The Warehouse Operator will also ensure stock quantity figures are accurate and an overall smooth running of all aspects of warehousing.

 

Key Responsibilities

To receive goods in promptly, book in through the WMS (Warehouse Management System), barcode label materials, deal with any damages and communicate with Purchasing, Quality Control and Production

  • To ensure third party contract deliveries are booked in and transferred to the correct location by way of purchase order receipts and works order completions
  • To ensure deliveries of brandy are correctly received and Custom notes signed and dated with the correct quantities
  • To return goods, as appropriate, to suppliers ensuring all paperwork has been completed and goods are correctly moved/removed from Sage
  • To effectively and promptly locate materials into stock locations ensuring correct quantities are showing on SAP
  • To safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • To pick works orders for the production schedule ensuring that materials are picked and ready ahead of schedule
  • To ensure that all returned materials from production are quickly and accurately returned to the appropriate warehouse location
  • To carry out stock checks as required by the Company’s perpetual cycle count system
  • To work to high standards of warehouse hygiene and tidiness. This will include routine cleaning of the racking, stored products and the warehouse
  • To work in a safe manner with full regard for the Company’s Health and Safety regulations
  • To work to standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) at all times
  • To actively participate in team meetings to help improve the operation
  • To ensure any concerns with racking, plant or equipment and accidents/near misses are promptly reported to the Team Leader
  • To load vehicles with Finished Goods going to the appropriate 3rd party warehouse
  • To carry out any other reasonable management requested task

 

Person Specification 

Education / Qualifications

  • English and Maths GCSE’s Grade C and above (or equivalent)
  • ITIL Foundation and Lifecycle certification in Service Operations
  • Basic GxP training for pharmaceutical IT systems
  • Training in GAMP 5 Computer Systems Validation and Data Integrity

 

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Extensive IT support experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
  • Service Desk process skills for Incident and Change Management
  • Demonstrable strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively and independently when under pressure
  • Line management of junior service desk staff
  • Full ERP support: SAP ECC6, BW, BOBJ and P2P EDI using iDOCS, Sage500
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 suite including administration and SharePoint
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft server environment including AD, GPO and SQL
  • ServiceNow administration, configuration and knowledge including reporting
  • WAN/LAN knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Telecoms systems support for Mitel & MiVoice, VOIP, Skype and Starleaf
  • Mobile device support for Android, Apple iOS and Desktop Central
  • Support and troubleshooting for various Apple Mac systems
  • Extensive knowledge of VMware, NetApp, RedStor, EPOS Launchpad, Prisym 360
  • Pharmaceutical laboratory system installations with IQ/OQ

 

Desirable

  • Management of third-party suppliers including SLA monitoring and supplier audits
  • Supporting users across remote sites, including internationally, using Bomgar
  • ServiceNow reporting and analysis for Continuous Improvement
