Vendor Management Officer

To manage the vendor management programme in order to ensure that the Company’s suppliers of raw and packaging materials adhere to the Company’s quality requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

= To ensure the vendor management programme in maintained in compliance with cGMP

= To maintain the Company’s approved supplier list

= To implement and maintain the annual supplier audit plan

= To perform supplier risk assessments and escalate issues when required

= To manage and review supplier questionnaires

= To conduct external audits (including for cause audits) and to follow up with written assessments.

= To draft and agree quality and technical agreements with suppliers

= To suggest and agree to Corrective Actions/Preventative Actions (CAPA) with external suppliers, ensuring agreements have been approved by all relevant parties and that actions are followed up.

= To provide reports and analysis of vendor KPI’s for management review

= To communicate supplier approval status and audit results to the wider business

= To support investigations with suppliers into any major quality defects arising with procured materials

= To conduct performance reviews of suppliers and service providers

= To keep up to date with changes in applicable regulations/audit standards and communicate these changes to the business where required.

 

Person Specification 

Education / Qualifications

= Educated to degree level or equivalent

= Ideally IRCA certified lead auditor

 

Skills and Experience

= Previous experience in supplier auditing, including contract manufacturers, raw material and packaging suppliers and contract laboratories.

= Knowledge of cGMP/GDP for pharmaceuticals, food and cosmetics

= Experience of developing and implementing processes

= Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards in relation to raw material/API (ActivePharmaceutical Ingredient)

= Experience in SAP would be an advantage though not essential
